DA chief pitches support for SA

 DA Secretary Arthur Yap will address the country representatives during the first day of the Conference.

Yap is expected to discuss DA's program for rural farmers and emphasize its support on sustainable agriculture.

DA has recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with NASSA for a “Joint Program on Sustainable Agriculture.”

The national launching, which was held last 22 September in Pigdaulan, Butuan City , was hosted by the Diocese of Butuan.

The sub regional launching for Central Visayas will be held that same day in Flushing Meadows, right after Yap 's address.

Farm equipment like compost shredders, decorticating machines, soil test kits, and rice seeds will be distributed to the farmer's groups in the province.

A press conference will follow the turnover of equipment.

The second sub regional launching for the CARAGA region will be held on 25-26 October in Surigao City . The activity, which will be hosted by Surigao Bishop Antonieto Cabajog, coincides with the closing of the Mindanao Sulu Pastoral Council and will be attended by all clergy and bishops of Mindanao .
